The receptionist at Dr.Bug was very nice and helpful.  The serviceman, Dean, was able to meet me at the "potential house" on very short notice.  He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and nice.  My clients and I were concerned that some bugs we found were carpenter ants.  We figured any pest control company would tell us that they were carpenter ants, so we would have to buy a treatment program.  Well, Dean told us that these were not wood-destroying insects, and did not need treatment.  He also took the time to explain to us what signs to look for, for wood-destroying insects, and what different treatment systems were designed to do.  Overall, my experience with Dean & Dr. Bug was extremely satisfactory.  I would recommend them to anyone I know. “My seller had an inspection that indicated the siding needed repaired. The buyers had a contractor come out to determine repair or replacement. The contractor looked up at the siding and pulled out a tape measure. The buyers came back asking for a credit of $5000 for siding replacement.

I had my sellers call Aztec Homes. Mike Dittmer came out the next business day. He actually evaluated (not just measured) the siding and found no siding failure. He emailed me a letter that evening validating the good condition, that it was correctly installed, pointed out areas that normally show deterioration first, and specified there was no failure.

We presented his letter to the buyers and declined to offer any allowance. They accepted. Obviously, their contractor was unable to put in writing any objection to Mike’s evaluation of the siding.

Mike’s precise evaluation and prompt follow-up was a contributing factor in resolving this inspection issue.

For any future siding issues on properties, I will be calling Mike Dittmer at Aztec Homes.”
